“There’s no other program at the High School level like this.”
Family members were wowed by the robotics presentation given Tuesday night by Team 810 at High School East.
Under the guidance of team advisors David Savage and Brian Costello, the Team 810 Mechanical Bulls presented a showcase to unveil their 2025 Competition robot prior to the regional competition held this weekend at Hofstra University.
Town Supervisor Ed Wehrheim attended the showcase, telling the team, “I want to congratulate you because what you’re doing is so, so important.”
Representatives from Optimum, one of the team sponsors, were also on hand as team president, Abigail Brennan, and the team educated those in attendance on the robotics program.
The event culminated in a an amazing display from the team’s newly designed competition robot, Banshee.
